Privacy policy

This policy covers ridenshinecolorado.com. It explains what we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to reach us if you want it changed or removed. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

Information you give us

Two forms on this site send us information, and both of them are optional. You can read every page, price, and service description without giving us anything.

• The quote form asks for your vehicle, the services you are interested in, your name, your phone number, and your email address.
• The contact form asks for your name and email address, plus your phone number and your message. The phone number is optional there.

When you send either form, that information goes to the shop as an email and a copy of your request comes back to you. If you call us, text us, or email us directly, we have whatever you chose to tell us in that conversation.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one measures its own traffic and stores a small amount of information in your browser. Here is exactly what runs.

• Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, which last up to two years. They tell us how many people visited, which pages they read, and roughly where in Colorado they were, without telling us who they are.
• Meta Pixel, also loaded through Google Tag Manager. It sets a cookie named _fbp, plus a cookie named _fbc when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad. Both last 90 days. It tells Meta which pages you viewed and what you clicked, including whether you tapped our phone number or sent a form, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people likely to want our work. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta can connect this activity to it.
• Marketing attribution, stored in your browser under the key bog_attr for up to 90 days. It records how you arrived: the campaign tags on the link you clicked, the site that referred you, the first page you landed on, and the advertising click identifiers Google, Meta, and Microsoft add to their ad links (gclid, fbclid, and msclkid). If your browser blocks that kind of storage, the same information goes into a cookie named bog_bog_attr instead. We use it to tell which marketing actually brings people to the shop. When you send a form, these values travel with it so we can connect the lead to its source.
• A one-visit counter named bog_lead_fired. It exists only so a single form submission is not counted twice, and your browser clears it when you close the tab.
• Server logs. Our host records the ordinary details of a web request, including your IP address, your browser type, and the time, which is how it delivers pages and blocks attacks.

This site does not show a cookie banner, so the storage above starts when you arrive. The section on your choices explains how to stop it.

Our contact page embeds a Google map. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours.

Why we use it

Form information is used to answer your question, quote your vehicle, and schedule work. Analytics and attribution are used to understand which pages are useful and which marketing is worth paying for. The Meta Pixel is used to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and to choose who sees them. We do not use any of it to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent it. A small number of companies handle it on our behalf, to run the site and to measure our advertising:

• Resend delivers the lead notification to the shop and the confirmation email to you.
• Google provides Analytics, Tag Manager, and the map on our contact page.
• Meta receives the Meta Pixel data described above to measure and deliver our ads on Facebook and Instagram, under Meta's own privacy policy.
• Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site, and runs the spam check on our quote and contact forms. That check is Cloudflare Turnstile. It looks at signals from your browser to decide whether you are a person, and it sets a short-lived token for that submission. It does not track you across other websites and it does not use your data for advertising.
• A customer relationship management system holds inquiries so we can follow up on them and keep track of your vehicle's history with us.

We will also hand over information when the law requires it, or when we need to protect the business, our staff, or a customer.

How long we keep it

Quote and contact requests stay in our email and our customer records for as long as we are working with you, and afterward for as long as we need them for warranty, tax, and business records. Analytics data is held by Google on the retention schedule set for our property, and Meta Pixel data by Meta under its own rules. Attribution storage in your browser expires on its own after 90 days.

Your choices

• Your browser settings can block or delete cookies and site data for this site, which clears the analytics, advertising, and attribution storage described above.
• Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it.
• If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, the ad settings in that account control whether Meta uses activity from websites like this one to choose the ads you see.
• Email us at info@ridenshinecolorado.com to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Tell us the name, phone number, or email address you used so we can find the right record. If a deletion would leave us unable to honor a warranty on work we did, we will say so before we act.
• If you would rather not use a form at all, call the shop at 720-542-7565.

Children

This site is meant for adults shopping for vehicle services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change, we update this page and change the date at the top. The date tells you which version you are reading.
