Truck bed storage and organization, installed in Arvada

Stop digging through your truck bed. We sell and install DECKED drawer systems, sliding bed platforms, tool boxes and smaller organizers, and build the storage around what you carry. There is a full-size DECKED display in our Arvada showroom, so you can open the drawers before you buy.

Start with the problem

Tell us what bugs you about your bed, and we will match the storage to it

Truck beds are great at carrying stuff and bad at organizing it. Tools slide around, straps disappear, and the one thing you need ends up against the cab. Some trucks need a full drawer system. Others need a $219.99 swing-out box for the straps and nothing more. We carry several kinds of storage, so we can recommend the smallest thing that solves the problem.

“We’ll be taking all our cars here. Eric and his team just did the 3M protective film on our new Tundra. The front bumper and grill are not simple applications, Eric made sure to talk us through what to look for if any of the film isn’t holding and to bring it back in and he’d fix it for us. He also tinted the front windows and they’re a perfect match to the rest. Their prices are very competitive, but it’s the absolutely top notch customer service, communication, and workmanship that make it an easy decision to come back. We’ll be getting our tonneau cover for our truck bed, ceramic coating for our older with a lot of life in her SUV, and will start using them to detail our cars given our great experience and the fact that everyone else continues to have the same.”

Open the drawers on the DECKED display in our showroom

Pictures online don't tell you how deep the drawers are, how far they pull out or how much room is left above the deck. That is why we have a DECKED display in our Arvada showroom: an 8-foot Super Duty bed fitted with DECKED drawers, a CargoGlide and cases. Open the drawers, check the Stash Bins and the deck height, then decide.

Seven kinds of bed storage, by the problem each one solves

Not a spec chart: what each kind of storage fixes, and what it costs you in bed space.

DECKED and a tonneau cover: organized below, covered above

The drawers organize the bottom of the bed, the deck carries the bigger cargo, and a tonneau cover closes the top. On trucks where both fit, a BAKFlip MX4 or a Retrax cover goes over the drawers. The DECKED system is 12 inches tall, so we check the room left under the cover, and a retractable's canister takes space at the front of the bed.

A SwingCase under a tonneau cover is the everyday version: the cover protects the bed and the box keeps the hitch pin and straps near the tailgate.

Storage under a topper: drawers or a slide below, enclosed space above

For more enclosed volume, pair DECKED with a truck topper: drawers below, enclosed space above, and room for side access, MOLLE panels and interior lighting depending on the cap. A topper also makes the front of the bed harder to reach, which is where a bed slide earns its keep.

Work trucks, camp rigs and everyday trucks need different layouts

Work trucks need storage planned around how often you reach for things: a tool you use 20 times a day shouldn't sit under something you use twice a month. Camp and hunting rigs follow the same rule, and drawers keep waders, boots and recovery gear apart instead of in one pile. A trade truck that needs several locking boxes, with one key for all of them, is WEATHER GUARD territory. If your bed mostly holds groceries, sports gear and jumper cables, a SwingCase or a cargo organizer may make more sense than a drawer system DECKED lists at $1,699.99.

Storage is not the same as security or weather protection

A storage system keeps gear organized. Whether it is secure depends on the lock, the tailgate, the cover and what can be seen from outside. DECKED's drawers can't be opened while the tailgate is locked, and DECKED sells keyed drawer locks separately; a bed slide does nothing for security by itself. If you leave expensive tools in the truck, DECKED under a hard tonneau cover or a locking topper may suit you better than an open-bed organizer. For tools behind the cab, the DECKED Tool Box has its locks built in.

DECKED builds its drawers to keep rain, snow and dust out, and its own FAQ says a tiny bit of water may still get in. Cargo on a slide or in an open bed is only as protected as the cover over it. We call bed storage weather-resistant, never waterproof, and if what you carry cannot get wet we need to know before we plan the setup.

Send us your truck and what is already on it

Bed storage depends on the year, make, model and bed length, and on everything else in the bed. DECKED says its Drawer System and CargoGlide don't fit over plastic drop-in liners, the Drawer System doesn't work with a BedRug mat (spray-in liners are fine), and the Drawer System is not compatible with gooseneck or 5th wheel hitches. Send us the truck, what is already installed and what you carry, and we will tell you what fits.

Installation

Installation at our Arvada shop

A drawer system or a heavy-duty slide carries hundreds of pounds and has to be square, level and clear of everything around it. When we install several products together, we check how the whole system works before the truck leaves.

1 · Confirm the fitWe check the part numbers against your year, make, model and bed length, and against the liner, cover, topper or hitch already in the bed.
2 · Order and assembleWe order the system and assemble it here, so there is no stack of boxes in your garage.
3 · Install and alignWe mount it, align the drawers or the slide, and check clearance to the tailgate, the cover and the topper.
4 · Show you how it worksBefore you leave we walk you through the drawers, locks, tie-downs and slide releases.

In our shop, a DECKED drawer system takes about 2 to 3 hours, a CargoGlide or BEDSLIDE about 2 hours and a SwingCase about an hour a side. Drop-off and pick-up hours: Mon–Fri · 8am–5pm.

FAQ

Common questions

What is the best organizer for a truck bed?
There isn't one best organizer for every truck. For the most organized storage, a DECKED drawer system. For straps and small tools, a SwingCase. If the problem is reaching cargo, a bed slide beats both.DECKED drawer systems →
What are the alternatives to truck bed organizers?
A tool box behind the cab, a bed slide, a topper with MOLLE panels on the walls, or simply a bed extender and a few better tie-down points. Each fixes a different problem, which is why we start by asking what bothers you about the bed.
Can I use DECKED with a tonneau cover?
On most trucks, yes, and on a truck with a topper too. The drawers are 12 inches tall, so we check the room left under the cover and, on a retractable, the canister at the front of the bed.Tonneau covers →
What's the difference between DECKED and a bed slide?
DECKED is drawer storage under a deck you can still load. A bed slide pulls your cargo to the tailgate. DECKED's CargoGlide can sit on top of its drawers when you want both.Truck bed slides →
Is a truck tool box better than DECKED?
It depends on the truck. A tool box keeps tools in one place and leaves most of the bed floor open, and it is the usual answer on a truck with a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch, which the DECKED Drawer System doesn't fit.Truck tool boxes →
What if I sometimes need the entire bed?
Tell us. It may steer us toward removable or compact storage. DECKED says its Drawer System comes out in about 15 minutes, but it still weighs a couple hundred pounds.
