Paint correction in Arvada, CO

Paint correction reduces the swirls, fine scratches and haze that dull your finish and brings back depth and gloss. How much it improves depends on the paint's condition, its clear-coat thickness and how deep the defects go. It is also the step that comes before any coating.

What it is

Fix the paint before you seal it

Over time paint picks up swirl marks from washing, fine scratches, water spots, and oxidation from the sun. Correction uses machine polishing to level those defects and restore clarity and gloss, rather than filling them temporarily. A single-stage correction is a gloss enhancement that reduces lighter swirls and imperfections. A two-stage correction is a more intensive cut and polish for heavier defects. Results depend on the paint's condition, its clear-coat thickness and how deep the defects go. This matters most before a ceramic coating, because existing paint defects remain visible beneath the coating unless they are corrected beforehand.

What to expect

How it works

1 · Paint inspection & measureWe inspect the finish under proper lighting and measure paint thickness so we know how much correction the clear coat can safely take.
2 · Test spotWe dial in the right pad and polish combination on a test section and show you the result before we commit to the whole vehicle.
3 · Machine correctionWe machine polish panel by panel to reduce swirls and defects and restore gloss, working at a safe, measured pace.
4 · Protect (coating recommended)With the paint corrected, we recommend sealing it with a ceramic coating so the results are protected instead of swirling back in a few washes.
FAQ

Common questions

Single-stage or two-stage correction?
It depends on the paint. A single-stage correction is a gloss enhancement that reduces lighter swirls and imperfections. A two-stage correction is a more intensive cut and polish for heavier defects. We inspect and measure first, then recommend what your paint needs. Results vary with paint condition, clear-coat thickness and how deep the defects go.
Will the swirls come back?
New swirls come from washing. Brush car washes and dirty towels are the usual cause. Protecting the paint with a coating and washing it gently keeps a corrected finish looking right longer, and we will show you how.
