WanderFox aluminum truck toppers
Colorado toppers for work, travel and camping. WanderFox is based in Golden, a few miles south of our Arvada shop, and we are an approved WanderFox dealer. We help you choose the Den, Super Den or Super Den XL and the panels for each side, then assemble and install it here. The Den starts at $2,399 for current trucks, before installation.
A Colorado topper company, with support down the road
WanderFox Overland's headquarters and showroom are at 14352 W. 44th Ave in Golden, and it stocks every replacement part there. It also builds its toppers with common hardware, so a repair years from now does not wait on a special part. That is local product support, which is rare for a truck topper. We are an approved WanderFox dealer in Arvada: we work out the fit, the model and the panel layout with you, order it, assemble it, install it, and build the rest of the truck while it is here.

The three toppers side by side
All three are CNC laser-cut and welded aluminum, fully powder-coated, bolted together in five panels, with the same roof rails and roof ratings. What changes is the height and the side access. Choose the Den if you want the simplest, lowest-priced WanderFox at cab height. Choose the Super Den if you reach into the bed from the side all the time and want MOLLE storage built in. Choose the Super Den XL if you care more about room inside than a cab-height profile.

| Den | Super Den | Super Den XL | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Height | Cab height | Cab height | 5 to 6 inches taller |
| Side doors | Standard | Oversized; double as shade | Oversized; double as shade |
| MOLLE storage | Accessory panel option | Built into every side panel | Built into every side panel |
| Weight, 6.5 ft bed | About 175 lb | About 185 lb | About 190 lb |

Starting prices are WanderFox's lowest list price for each topper, by truck and panel choice, for the topper alone, checked 1 October 2026; installation is quoted for your truck. Every WanderFox is built to a specific truck and bed, so send us your year, make, model and bed length and we will confirm the options.

“You never know what you’re going to get when you google around, well I’m happy to say if you’re reading this you don’t need to search anymore! Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and a straight up pleasure to work with! Window tint…on point, ceramic coating…on point, ppf…on point, tonneau cover…great suggestion! I’m confident that you cannot go wrong here, they pride themselves on their work!”
“We’ll be taking all our cars here. Eric and his team just did the 3M protective film on our new Tundra. The front bumper and grill are not simple applications, Eric made sure to talk us through what to look for if any of the film isn’t holding and to bring it back in and he’d fix it for us. He also tinted the front windows and they’re a perfect match to the rest. Their prices are very competitive, but it’s the absolutely top notch customer service, communication, and workmanship that make it an easy decision to come back. We’ll be getting our tonneau cover for our truck bed, ceramic coating for our older with a lot of life in her SUV, and will start using them to detail our cars given our great experience and the fact that everyone else continues to have the same.”
Choose the panels for each side
You do not have to pick all windows or all solid panels. On each side WanderFox offers sliding tinted glass, a flat panel or an accessory panel for mounting gear, and a mixed layout it calls the "Franken-Den": an accessory or flat panel on the driver side and a sliding window on the passenger side. The front is clear glass with or without a slider, and the rear can be tinted glass, a flat panel or an accessory panel. Choices depend on the model and the truck.
A camper may want windows. A contractor may want solid panels. An overlander may want accessory panels. We work through the layout with you before we order. White powder coat is a special-order finish, and lead time depends on WanderFox when we order.

Roof rails from day one
Every WanderFox has structural fore-aft roof rails built in, and crossbars come separately in 1300, 1400 and 1500 mm lengths. WanderFox rates the roof rack for 750 lb parked and 330 lb moving in normal driving. Maybe today you only want locked storage; six months from now it might be bikes, kayaks, a cargo box or a rooftop tent, and the rails are already there. For a tent, we add up the whole build against the truck's payload first.
Roof ratings are the maker's; your truck's payload still applies, and we check both before we quote.

Locks, seals and a Colorado winter
Each panel has dual locking, adjustable latches, which gives you secure, lockable storage; we do not call any topper theft-proof. The side compartment doors are weathertight, with full-bulb EPDM seals, a bed rail seal and an extra-wide flap seal at the tailgate against dust and water. WanderFox also includes removable covers that keep ice and dust off the latches. Like every topper we sell, it is weather-resistant rather than waterproof. In normal Front Range use, toppers don't typically have major recurring winter problems, though extreme conditions can affect latches, seals and moving parts.
WanderFox plus DECKED, and the rest of the truck
The topper handles the enclosure, the side access and the roof. A DECKED drawer system handles organized storage on the bed floor. For camping, hunting, fishing, contractors and overland trucks the two work well together, and we check the fit of both before ordering. While the truck is here we can add crossbars, lighting, running boards, air bags or paint protection film on the bed rails.

WanderFox fits older trucks too
WanderFox designs each topper from its own 3D scans of the truck, and its catalog runs well beyond new models: F-150s back to 1997, Silverado and Sierra back to the 1988 GMT400, Tacomas back to 1995, plus the Super Duty, Ranger, Maverick, Colorado and Canyon, Ram 1500 and 2500/3500, Tundra, Frontier, Titan and Gladiator, including 8-foot beds. Exact options depend on the model, generation and bed length.
WanderFox or SmartCap?
Both suit people who want more than a fiberglass shell, and we carry both. They get there differently. WanderFox is powder-coated aluminum, fits many older trucks and 8-foot beds, puts its weight on configurable panels and value, and is supported from Golden. SmartCap is stainless steel, fits late-model trucks up to a 6 ft 8 in bed, and carries a three-year warranty. The roof ratings are close: WanderFox 750 lb parked and 330 lb moving, SmartCap 770 and 330. Which one fits depends on the truck and what it has to do.
