Tacoma FAQ

Common questions

Is PPF worth it on a Tacoma?
If you drive trails or gravel roads, yes. The front clip, rockers, and fender flares take the worst of the rock chips and pinstriping. Film on those zones stops the damage before it starts. Trail-heavy TRD Pro owners often step up to full-body coverage.
What lift kit is best for a Tacoma?
It depends on how you use the truck. A leveling kit is enough for most daily drivers who want a cleaner stance and room for slightly larger tires. For trail use, we like ICON and Old Man Emu suspension systems. We match the setup to your tires and your driving.
What tires fit a lifted Tacoma?
A leveling kit or 2-inch lift opens room for 33-inch tires on most Tacomas. A 3-inch lift gets you into 285/70R17 territory. We confirm fitment for your specific year and trim before ordering so nothing rubs.
Should I ceramic coat my Tacoma?
A ceramic coating makes the truck much easier to wash after a trail day and protects the paint from UV fade and mag chloride. We use Owner's Pride coatings in 5-, 7- and 9-year tiers; the 9-year is self-healing.
Do you install RCI Offroad armor on the Tacoma?
Yes. Full skid plate sets, rock sliders, and bed racks for the Tacoma are ordered to your build and installed in our Arvada shop.
Is windshield protection film worth it?
If you drive mountain highways or gravel roads regularly, yes. Colorado roads throw enough rock chips that a windshield film pays for itself in avoided replacements. It will not stop everything, but it absorbs impacts that would otherwise crack the glass.
What accessories should I install first?
Protection first, then the build. Start with PPF on the front clip and rockers, ceramic coating on the body, and tint on the glass. Then add the lift, wheels, and rack. That way the protection goes on clean paint before the first scratch lands.
